More than an airport transfer
Personal Assistance From Collection to Handover
Rumiancev Drive provides an additional chauffeur service for a child or young passenger travelling without a parent in the vehicle. It can be added to an airport transfer, school collection or another pre-arranged journey in London or across the UK.
For a departing passenger, the chauffeur can collect the child, accompany them through the publicly accessible areas of the airport and complete the agreed handover to the airline or its appointed ground-handling representative.
For an arriving passenger, the chauffeur can receive the child after the airline has completed its release procedure, transport them to the agreed destination and hand them to the authorised receiving adult.
- Collection from a confirmed home, school or family address
- Assistance with luggage and airport directions
- Personal transfer of responsibility at each handover
Before the journey
How to Arrange the Service
The chauffeur booking and the airline’s own young passenger procedure are arranged separately and reviewed before travel.
Check the Airline Rules
Confirm the permitted passenger age, required documents, check-in process and whether the airline offers a formal Unaccompanied Minor service.
Enter the Journey Details
Provide the collection address, airport, flight, terminal, destination, luggage and required timings.
Add the Assistance Service
Select Unaccompanied Minor in the additional services section of the booking form. An additional chauffeur service charge applies.
Receive Confirmation
We review the route and handover instructions before confirming that the chauffeur can complete the requested arrangement.
Departure service
Taking a Child to the Airport
The chauffeur collects the passenger from the agreed address and plans the journey to allow sufficient time for traffic, check-in, documentation and the airline’s handover process.
At the terminal, the chauffeur stays with the child in the permitted public areas, assists with luggage and accompanies them to the location specified by the airline.
Responsibility is transferred only when the authorised airline or ground-handling representative has formally accepted the passenger.
- Correct airport and terminal confirmed before collection
- Time allowed for check-in and airline formalities
- Parent or guardian updated after the handover
Arrival service
Collecting a Child From the Airline
The airline may require the chauffeur’s full name, telephone number and identification details before accepting them as the authorised receiving adult.
The chauffeur waits at the location designated by the airline and accepts the child only after the required identity checks and release documents have been completed.
The journey then continues directly to the confirmed destination, where the passenger is handed to the named parent, guardian or other authorised adult.
- Named chauffeur information supplied where required
- Flight arrival and meeting instructions reviewed in advance
- Safe delivery to the confirmed receiving adult
No unattended drop-off
The Chauffeur Stays Until the Passenger Is Safe
When Unaccompanied Minor assistance has been confirmed, the chauffeur does not leave the child at the kerb, terminal entrance, check-in area or another unattended location.
If the planned transfer of responsibility cannot take place because of a missing document, disrupted flight, incorrect details or an absent receiving adult, the chauffeur stays with the passenger in a safe and lawful location and contacts the authorised family contact and Rumiancev Drive.
Any additional waiting time, revised collection or return journey is coordinated separately once a safe alternative has been agreed.
Airline requirements
Confirm the Flight Procedure Directly With the Airline
Each airline sets its own rules for children and young people travelling alone. The parent or guardian must check the requirements for the passenger’s age, route and flight before booking the chauffeur service.
Any airline Unaccompanied Minor fee is arranged and paid separately from the Rumiancev Drive journey.
- Permitted passenger age and eligible flight
- Required forms, passport and consent documents
- Approved delivering and receiving adults
- Airport meeting point and identification requirements
- Required waiting time after check-in
